Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC arrives on Wii U two years late

Wii U launch title Call of Duty: Black Ops II has been updated with the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map, which was available as a pre-order bonus for owners of the game on other systems.

If, on the off-chance, you’re interested in taking it for a spin, you need only launch the game from the Wii U menu whilst the system is connected to the Internet, and it’ll offer to download the required update for you.

Could this be a sign that Activision is actively supporting Nintendo’s platform – perhaps with more downloadable content for Black Ops II or its successor, Ghosts? Maybe an announcement for the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is imminent? Or could it be that developer Treyarch’s had this content prepared since launch, with Activision – for some reason – holding it back?
