As many of you will know at this point, Trine 2: Director’s Cut remains a highlight amongst indie titles in the Wii U eShop, with the iconic platformer earning a solid 9/10 in our review almost two years back.
It’s for this reason, then, that we’re cautiously optimistic for Trine: Enchanted Edition. It’s an updated port of the original Trine, running on its sequel’s superior game engine, and it’s heading to Wii U and PlayStation 4 “later this year”.
Although it’s undeniably an old game at this point, it’s great to hear that another critically acclaimed game is on its way to the eShop – complete with revamped visuals and physics, and brought up-to-date with online co-op.
The game’s out now on PC, and owners of Trine can upgrade to this Enchanted Edition free of charge. Otherwise, it’s £9.99 / $14.99.
