Blog: Nintendo Invader’s first week in Tomodachi Life (Day 3)

Welcome back to the third day of Tomodachi Life. Yesterday we took a look at a few of the things you can do on the island and some ways in which you can interact with your residents. We’ve still only really scratched the surface of what this game has to offer and in order to unlock more we need more islanders. This is where Nintendo Invader writer Kezz comes in!.

Once you have three islanders the clothes shop opens up. New clothes are available every day and each Tomodachi will react to clothes you give them in different ways. Residents will ask for new clothes from time to time so it’s best to buy lots just in case a wardrobe malfunction ever happens.

You will also now be able to buy Interiors for the apartments. You can gift a Tomodachi an interior from a select few or buy more from the shop. These interiors change the look and style of a Tomodachi’s apartment, ranging from things like “Fifties Japanese” to “Horror”, which is decked out with a coffin and a spooky fireplace.

At night time you will be able to view the dreams of your Tomodachis when they sleep. Some of these are short clips that will loop forever, some are bizarre scenes involving other residents and some you can interact with on the bottom screen. These dreams prop up some of the strangest scenarios in the game and you will be given an item related to the dream after viewing. Dreams can be watched again by using the “hypnotism set” item if you missed taking a screenshot or want to show a friend one in full.

That’s all for today but make sure you come back throughout the week for more updates on the goings on of Destiny Island. Ciao!
