Anyone who’s already played Pokémon X & Y will probably be aware of the upcoming service which gives you an extra 100 boxes’ worth of storage, as well as finally allowing you to transfer your older ‘mon from previous games. The Pokémon Bank service will come included with companion app Poké Transporter tool which allows you to transfer your precious creatures from DS games Pokémon Black & White and Pokémon Black and White 2 over to X and Y.
Of course, such a useful service won’t be coming free, as the subscription fee has now been confirmed for both Europe and Australia. Long-running Pokémon fan site Serebii has reported that you’ll be able to have access to the service for a whole year for a mere £4.49 / €4.99. However, Australian Pokémon trainers will be paying a little more for their year’s worth of storage, as the service is currently priced at AU$6.50 and NZ$8.50, with North American pricing previously confirmed at $4.99USD.
Pokémon Bank is set to be released on 27th December. If you’re looking to test out the application first, Nintendo is offering players a 30-day free trial if they’ve downloaded and accessed Bank before 31st January 2014.
Do you think the pricing is fair, and how useful will the service be to you during your Pokémon journey?
