In an obvious attempt to promote upcoming crossover, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, Nintendo has announced a new deal for those who purchase both Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem Awakening in North America. To be eligible for the offer, you must own a Club Nintendo account, and have both games registered onto that account. It doesn’t matter whether you purchase the games digitally from the eShop or buy retail copies, as long as the games are registered, you’ll be eligible for the $30 credit. It should also be noted that you can still take advantage of the offer if you’ve already registered Fire Emblem, and then Shin Megami Tensei afterwards.

The promotion begins when Shin Megami Tensei IV launches on 16th July, and will run until 31st August.

It’s more than likely that this is the reason Atlus were stressing that fans who purchase Shin Megami Tensei IV should register the game on Club Nintendo straight away in their unboxing video.
