Undoubtedly the highest profile release this week, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. arrives in the 3DS eShop alongside its retail counterpart for a reasonable £34.99 (€39.99). Introducing a brand-new antagonist – Antasma the ghostly bat king – the legendary duo will be teaming up once again, with Mario being absorbed into the sleeping Luigi’s dreams for the series’ recurring side-scrolling gameplay sections.
As announced by Zen Studios late last month, Star Wars Pinball is arriving in the Wii U eShop as a standalone title, rather than as DLC for the already-available Zen Pinball 2 – as was the case with the PS3 version. There’ll only be four tables available for your £7.99 (€9.99) at launch, but the developer is working on downloadable content for the future.
Kokuga is another digital 3DS exclusive title from the developer of Ikaruga. It’s relatively expensive at £13.49 (€14.99), yet developer G.rev promises twelve stages packed with drones, enemy tanks, gun towers and other mecha in this top-down, 360-degree, free-scrolling shooter.
If you were a fan of the free Shaun the Sheep episodes on Nintendo Video, from Thursday, you’ll have the chance to purchase them from the Nintendo eShop to save on your SD card for your viewing pleasure. You can buy five-episode bundles for £2.69 (€2.99) each, or all fifteen for the slightly cheaper price of £6.29 (€6.99).
Finally, the original NES Donkey Kong title is the final game in Nintendo’s Family Computer 30th Anniversary Campaign, launching for 30p (€0.30) on Thursday. Also, if you’ve purchased either Metroid or Kid Icarus, you can get the other for £1.74 (€2.49) until 25th July.
