To the surprise of no one, Nintendo has finally announced two special Pokémon 3DS systems for Japan. The blue XL showing off the game’s cover Pokémon, Xerneas and Yveltal, while the rather stunning gold XL features the silhouettes of the legendary duo and all three new starter Pokémon. Each console will cost about 22,800¥, and will come with Pokémon X or Pokémon Y pre-installed on the system, also containing a 4GB SD card. The blue 3DS XL will be made available in multiple Japanese stores, while the gold XL will only be available at Pokémon Centers. Since it’s for the first time ever that the latest instalments in the Pokémon series are set to release simultaneously worldwide (on 12th October), we’re hopeful that we’ll be seeing these, or very similar 3DS editions hit stores overseas.
As well as a brand-new trailer, a batch of new screenshots were also released a short while ago. The screenshots pretty much confirm that you will indeed be able to rollerskate across the Kalos region, while you can also see a range of the games’ scenery. We must say, it’s all shaping up to look very lovely indeed, and we can’t wait for the release of the games later in the year.
