Zen Studios has confirmed that it’s bringing the acclaimed Star Wars Pinball to the Wii U eShop in Europe and North America on 11th July.
Although the developer released the Wii U’s first “freemium” title in Zen Pinball 2 earlier this year, its next release will cost $9.99 / €9.99, boasting three Star Wars-themed tables: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. According to starwarspinball.com though, “More Star Wars Pinball tables are in development!”
It’s interesting that, unlike the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions – which were made available as DLC for Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball 2 respectively – Star Wars Pinball is a standalone release on Wii U. Are you happy with this setup, or would you rather see these Star Wars tables made available as paid add-on content for Zen Pinball 2?
