During a press release, a Nintendo of Germany PR has revealed information regarding the release of the three Nintendo-exclusive Sonic games. The titles announced so far include Sonic Lost World for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, along with Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games for Wii U. The third game has yet to be revealed, while many have been speculating a Sonic and Mario Kart crossover, due to a tweet posted by Sumo Digital’s executive producer, Steve Lycett.
Nintendo of Germany has revealed that all three titles are set to release this year:
“Today, they (Sega) revealed further details of the second of three titles, which the two companies will release exclusively on Wii U and 3DS. All three games will be released this year.”
It’s more than likely we will see further details announced during Nintendo’s E3 Direct presentation. In the meantime, you can read all about the first Sonic Lost World details, and watch the debut trailer here.
Would you like to see Mario and Sonic go head-to-head in a kart racer? Or perhaps you’d like to see a continuation of the Sonic 4 saga, with a third episode being exclusive to Nintendo systems? It sure is exciting to think about, and we can’t to see what Nintendo has in-store for us this E3.
