In the latest Japan-exclusive Nintendo Direct, new details emerged regarding Capcom titles Monster Hunter 4 and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies. While initially set for a ‘Spring’ release, the latest game in the will be released September 14th for 5,990 yen (roughly £39). Oh, and that’s not all – we were shown a brand-new trailer along with two exclusive Monster Hunter-themed 3DS XL consoles, which will come bundled with a copy of the game.
The new trailer shows off some of the new monsters, and gives us a look at the new Frozen Sea area. The new monsters included in the trailer consists of ‘Alceltas’ – a new insect monster, while new shark-like enemies known as ‘Squagills’ reside in the Frozen Sea area. During the Nintendo Direct, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto made a guest appearance to present the trailer. You can watch the new extended trailer here:
With the Monster Hunter series being massive in Japan, and the 2011 release of Monster Hunter 3G playing a big part in reviving the 3DS in Japan, we’re anticipating a successful release for the title. We’d love to eventually see Monster Hunter 4 released in Europe, as this is looking to be a title which will be worth the wait.
