Whereas it’s a paid download for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players, Wii U gamers that purchase Criterion’s take on Need for Speed: Most Wanted will find the Ultimate Speed Pack – which adds such cars as the Bugatti Veyron, the Pagani Zonda and the McLaren F1 – available on-disc.
There’ll also be new multiplayer modes, including ‘Co-Driver’ which will allow one person to race using a Wii Remote or Wii U Pro Controller, whilst a second player with the GamePad manipulates the environment to help or hinder either the player or the cops.
Meanwhile, in single-player, you’ll be using the touch-screen to modify your car’s setup on the go, and switching between cars you’ll find parked throughout the game’s open world.
Although there’s no graphical improvements to be made on Wii U – the game already looks fantastic on other formats anyway – we just need to hope there’s no technical problems with Need for Speed: Most Wanted on Wii U. Presuming there’s none, those holding off until March look set to be rewarded with the definitive version of the game.
