News: Pokémon X and Y’s legendaries’ English names confirmed

xerneasFollowing yesterday’s megaton news that was the announcement of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y for Nintendo 3DS, a few new details have been revealed regarding the games’ cover creatures.

The deer-like Pokémon, which has been given the name Xerneas, will front Pokémon X, whereas Yveltal – the Y-shaped bird – will of course be appearing on the cover of Pokémon Y.

yveltalAlso, according to Gematsu, The Pokémon Company is aiming for something it’s referring to as ‘Real Play’, which allegedly “uses an innovative communication system that makes it feel as if you are playing with others around the world.”

Although what this really means is anyone’s guess, would it be too far off the mark to presume that this feature – whatever it may entail – is to be included thanks to Pokémon fans’ recent interest in a Massively Multiplayer Online iteration for Wii U?
