The Wii U is finally set to launch in just a matter of days, with a plethora of third-party titles contributing to what’s hopefully a strong launch for Nintendo’s debut HD console. One of these publishers is EA, which is bringing two of its biggest franchises to the system on launch day – FIFA, and Mass Effect.
Regarding these series, two EA employees have recently spoken about what they’d like to achieve with the releases of FIFA 13 and Mass Effect 3: Special Edition on Wii U – specifically regarding the UK market:
“FIFA 13 is our best football game ever on a Nintendo console. The GamePad radically changes the way you can play FIFA and opens it up to gamers of all skill levels. We have high expectations for FIFA13′s performance on Wii U as a triple-A launch title on all new HD platforms.” – Dan Holman, Product Marketing Boss, EA Sports
“The Wii U represents a new opportunity for the industry this Christmas and it’s great that Mass Effect 3: Special Edition will be part of the launch.
“This is the first time that the Mass Effect universe will be on a Nintendo console and we’re very excited at the prospect of a new audience. We expect it to be at the forefront of the Nintendo Wii U offerings at launch.” – Colin Blackwood, Business Lead, EA Games and BioWare
Are either of EA’s Wii U launch titles on your shopping list, or have they been overshadowed by any of the other twenty-two games arriving on day one?
