Criterion’s reboot of EA’s acclaimed 2005 racer has been been rumoured to be in the works for Wii U for a long time now, although it was finally confirmed to be heading to the console by Nintendo in the latest third-party release schedule.
EA’s now confirmed that the Wii U’s port of Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be arriving sometime next year, and released a statement regarding what could be the best realistic racer on a Nintendo system in a long time:
“We are very excited to deliver Need for Speed: Most Wanted on more platforms and to more gamers. Starting October 30, Most Wanted will be available on X360, PS3, PS Vita, Android and iOS. Then in 2013, Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the Wii U.”
We’re eager to see if/how Criterion implements the game’s social features into the Wii U’s Miiverse. Are you looking forward to the game on Nintendo’s upcoming system?
