News: Pokémon, Hana Samurai and a Discounted Drawing App are This Week’s Nintendo Download Highlights

There’s no Wii downloads hitting our European Nintendo consoles this week, but what’s arriving on the Nintendo eShop more than makes up for it.

First up is the long-awaited Hana Samurai: Art of the Sword, which landed on the US eShop back in February under the name Sakura Samurai – which we say makes more sense than its European title, as you allegedly start out with a Sakura Sword; tasked with rescuing Princess Cherry Blossom using “precision swordplay”. This first-party-published title will set you back £6.29.

Next up is the first and cheapest of two Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 companion apps. Priced at £2.69, for those of you that want an alternative method to catching Pokémon in the brand-new DS game, you’ll be able to use the 3DS’s gyroscope, outer cameras and Augmented Reality capabilities to catch rare and legendary Pokémon, before transferring them over to your copy of Pokémon Black 2 or White 2.

And then on DSiWare is yet another title from Teyon, this time with a sequel to Robot Rescue – imaginatively titled Robot Rescue 2. For £1.79 or 200 Nintendo DSi Points, you’ll get sixty “diabolically difficult levels” in which you must “navigate a cadre of codependent robots in an evil computer labyrinth brimming with hostile traps”.

Finally, Collecting Smiles’ comprehensive drawing package is getting a week-long price cut, meaning you can grab Colors! 3D for just £4.49 until next Thursday, when it returns to its original price of £5.40.

Shall you be downloading anything this week?
