Whilst it was sneakily added to a North American release schedule post-E3, we’ve since been awaiting the announcement of a European localisation of Curve Studios’ sequel to WiiWare’s Hydroventure – sub-titled Spin Cycle.
Thankfully, that announcement came today during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, where the return of ice and steam was also confirmed. Whereas the original’s motion controls made use of the Wii Remote’s accelerometer – meaning only slight tilts would register – this 3DS iteration will have you using the gyroscope to rotate your handheld 360 degrees; as well as making use of the touch-screen to transform your puddle of water into another state. Science.
Hydroventure: Spin Cycle is set to launch in the Nintendo eShop sometime in December.
