New Super Mario Bros. 2, New Art Academy and FreakyForms Deluxe each launched in August on both a physical retail cartridge, and via a digital download in the Nintendo eShop. Since then, though, there’s been an absence of any new retail downloads in the 3DS’s digital store.
That’s set to change – in Japan at least – as six first-party games are making the leap from the increasingly-archaic cartridges onto the 3DS’s eShop. The titles Japanese gamers will have available to download on 1st November are as follows:
Considering Nintendo of Japan made this announcement during a Nintendo Direct Mini, we’d say there’s a fairly decent chance that NoE’s president Satoru Shibata will confirm this news for us Europeans tomorrow, during the Nintendo Direct presentation of our own. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
