Confirmed during the post-E3 event as Project P-100, Platinum Games’ beat-’em-up – which will see you combining various superheroes’ powers in order to fight off an alien invasion – has been renamed to The Wonderful 101. Other than that, news is fairly thin on the ground.
However, a slightly more exciting announcement was made regarding a Platinum Games title for Wii U during today’s Nintendo Direct. Produced by Atsushi Inaba and directed by Yusuke Hashimoto, Nintendo has granted the developers’ wish to make a sequel to the critically acclaimed Bayonetta, having been turned down by the original’s publisher, SEGA. Now being published by Nintendo, Bayonetta 2 will be a Wii U exclusive.
Both games have been absent from the Wii U’s launch window line-up, however, so don’t expect them to launch before March next year.
