Ninja Gaiden 3 from Team Ninja – the development team behind Metroid: Other M – released earlier this year to extremely mixed reviews: some were somewhat positive, others were extremely negative.
This apparently shouldn’t put you off buying the Nintendo-published Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge however, as the head of Team Ninja has revealed in an interview with Siliconera that the Wii U game is “to be its own action game,” presumably meaning that it’s going to be re-developed for Nintendo’s HD console.
“The concept for the Wii U version of Razor’s Edge is for it to be its own action game, an action game that doesn’t try to be anything else. It just tries to be its best.
“We re-examined what the series was, what the game was, what people want. We’re going back to rethinking what the series means.”
Hopefully this means that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge on Wii U will be vastly improved over what was released in March on other platforms, as it was one of the most promising titles shown off during the original third-party software montage during E3 2011.
